Concerned Voters of Centre County is a nonpartisan group of citizens from Centre County who are devoted to election integrity issues. We advocate for secure & accurate elections. We are working to assure that we have an electoral system in which all votes are counted.

Currently, we are most concerned that as a result of decisions made in June, 2006 by Commissioners Exarchos and Dershem, Centre County will NOT have a voter-verified paper record of the votes cast in November's election. Voters will be expected to trust computers to count their votes correctly. If there is a discrepancy there will be no way to recount the votes or truly verify the elections results.

Since Optical Scans are the most reliable systems available to date we advocate for Centre County Elections Board to supply Optical Scans systems for this county. (M100 precinct based)
At the very least we demand that the paperless iVotronics voting systems be equipped with a Voter Verified Paper Record before November elections and that Centre County have mandatory, random audits of at least 5% of the votes casts.
